Hey, I’m Rob. I know this page is where I’m supposed to list all my accomplishments or wax nostalgic about hand-developing black and white film in my high school darkroom. But instead of giving you a history lesson about how I fell in love with photography in the first place, I think it’s more important to explain why I’m still driven to create images and capture moments.
My wife and son mean everything to me, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than traveling the world with them. When we’re on the road, we dive deep into the culture, food, and history of each place we visit. We’ve taken surfing lessons in Waikiki, visited an underwater zoo in Dubai, and spent three nights on a junk boat on Halong Bay in Vietnam, exploring caves and catching our meals from the bay — a dream experience for a foodie like me. (This is all thanks to my wife, who’s an amazing planner!) I love watching my son explore new places and connect with the people around him. We’ve taken surfing lessons in Waikiki, explored caves on a junk boat in Halong Bay, and ended up in places I probably never would’ve found on my own. Most of that is thanks to my wife—she’s an incredible planner. These moments are what drive me to be a photographer. I see weddings as the first step on an incredible, lifelong journey — and I want to capture every connection and every awesome moment and new experience along the way. Whether we’re taking engagement photos on an island, shooting a wedding right here as your Brooklyn wedding photographer, or telling your honeymoon story anywhere around the world, I can’t think of a more fulfilling job than packing my bags and documenting my clients as they embark on new adventures.
Brooklyn Wedding Photographer Serving New Jersey and the NYC area.
That way of experiencing things carries into how I photograph weddings. I’m usually paying attention to what’s already happening rather than trying to shape it into something else.
Some moments need direction, but most don’t. Knowing when to step in and when to step back is what keeps the day feeling natural.
Every wedding moves differently, and I try to photograph it in a way that feels honest to how it unfolded.
I take on a limited number of weddings each year so I can stay fully present with every couple. If you’re planning a wedding in Brooklyn, NY or New Jersey and want photography that feels natural, I’d love to hear more about what you’re putting together
If you’re planning a wedding here, I’d love to hear what you’re thinking.
